White Linen Night, Houston!

I am Morticia pale complected, and I don't own any white clothing…at all. White washes me out and looks horrible on me. Even with bras and undies, nude is the lightest color I buy. T-shirts and tanks are the same - nude to dark jewel tones.

My son and a large group of his friends are going!!

While white is recommended and encouraged you can go wearing other colors. White and linen are partly recommended because of the temperature and it's crowded.

We'll be there as one of the vendors! It's my third year doing it and so much fun, especially people watching as the night goes on 😆. Boozy people have lose wallets 😁. I do wish it wasn't ticketed, though.

Linen looks horrible after 15 minutes of wear.

They lost me when they started charging -- to walk around outdoors in the summer heat.
Hard pass. I used to like to go, but not anynore.

Most people just wear just white, not necessarily linen.

It is a lot of fun! Sadly, I can't make it this year.

I have the same problem. But I do wear white bottoms. Now on cruises they have an all white night. I bought a white top for this occasion. But I never wear white on my top half. Will see if I ever wear this white top.

true, I Cannot stay clean, so I have worn light pink capris with a white top, to avoid stains, but, of course, Still got dirty, but had a lot of fun. The party is fashioned after those begun in New Orleans in 1984, as they revitalized the Warehouse District, after they World's Fair there ( which I went to ). The white due to the heat; I love seeing the sea of mostly white, at this event. I do not own any white linen, and go for cotton, too. There are some cool shops in that area, and that shopping aspect makes it even more fun.

I have 3 white tops, all cotton, None see through. Aint nobody wants to see a woman my age in 'see through' Anything ; ). I have worn a top that was open white lace, and I wore a blush colored cotton tank top, under it. Have also worn simple, cotton dresses and sandals, that's the coolest option

Yes, I know the background. I was really just letting those know that can't or don't wear white that you can still go.
I prefer the area when it's cooler. August even wearing cotton in that crowd is not for me. There are some nice shops.
