How is it worse than before Beryl?! I realize the world probably doesn't need yet another "the power is out" post, but OMG, how is it WORSE after they've supposedly improved system resiliency?!? That's it. Rant over. I'm done. Going back to sitting in the dark in HRV and nursing my rage baby.

I think we have been affected by it going out on a sunny day, no wind, no clouds, no rain that any time it goes out ..we get upset. I am trying to be forgiving because this is pretty severe.

So, my power is back on now, yet somehow I don't know how to feel about it. Relieved that it was short in duration? Confused because whatever it was couldn't have possibly been fixed manually in that amount of time, so what's the real problem? Anticipatory because I just lost power for several hours on a clear day a week or so ago, so surely we're not done yet? 🤣🤣🤣 Hope it comes back soon for everyone else! Thanks for giving me space to whine and rant, everyone! I grew up here, so you'd think I'd be used to it, but, man, it feels like it's 30 times worse now than even 10 or 15 years ago.
IsisVale : You are NOT wrong...it has markedly worsened in 10 years. I remember this timeline because it has been 10 years since my DH passed.
Txbutterfly : That was a long 11 days for us even with a generator. Praying we don't have a repeat experience this summer.
