We are looking to change our bank

Toohot: I despise BOA but I use Chase. What is your issue with them? Thanks

I use Chase on west lake Houston and Wells Fargo in the Ace parking lot. I've been at Chase since it was Texas commerce bank…just stay there cuz my direct deposit goes there. But the Wells Fargo people are super nice.

This is not what you want to hear however we have been with Chase for decades. No issues.

Happyface : Their interest rate is way to low! We left them years ago!

Wiseowl : Well, Direct deposits are not written in stone! You can change it. It is easy. Just leave a little in the original account till your deposit gets switched to the new bank. Then close that account!

sellbuy : Me too! Well, not for ages but I do like them.

Chase Bank here, I have never had a reason to change, they need all of my banking and investment needs.

I have been happy with chase for many years. I have a friend who uses Voya, an online bank, and it works well for them

I use Wells Fargo for business and Woodforest for personal checking. Woodforest has Silver Checking which offers free checks, money orders, cashier's checks, notary, etc. if you are over 55. I just hate that they don't have Zelle and now there is no Zelle app. I will probably open a USAA checking account as well just so I have Zelle if I need it.

We have bank accounts at two different banks in case of identity theft so we have a back up. And a credit union too !

Toohot : We like BoA and Frost. BoA was good when we were overseas and Frost has good customer service. My mom has Wells Fargo and they have good customer service too.

We use an online bank for 99% of our financial transactions. We keep a small checking account at Woodforest Bank for when we need something notarised. I got annoyed with BofA 15 years ago and moved most of our financial dealings to the online bank.
