Another gator warning. DH runs through East End and by the gully

That is scary. Is the alligator population in our area growing? We don't need to be like Florida.

Smoothwaters : They are there, and have been there/here, much longer than we have, and are harmless to us. About the only risk would be letting your 6 pound toy dog loose near the water, which no one in their right mind would do.

I see them on GC's sunning themselves on the fairways or in the lakes. If I hit a bad shot that goes in the water with gators, I just move on. My concern is not the gators but my biggest fear is copperheads if I hit the ball in the woods.

The reason you see a lot of gators this time of year is because it is mating season and the dominant males start pushing the smaller ones out of their turf so you get gators ending up in all kinds of unusual places.

teatime : Nothing this big in East End but....it is a monser hog shot in Texas.

cbear: wild javelinas! had one of those attack my car on a dark country road one night ,when I was a senior in high school. Did a Lot of damage, jumping up on the hood of my car and it's hooves pierced the metal! Theyre aggressive and destructive!
