Graduation 2026- feeling irritated that NRG is not available, I
Graduation 2026- feeling irritated that NRG is not available, I know first world problems but I am a woman of tradition and I feel like for my kids between Harvey, and Covid and Beryl, and now this their school experience is just been so out of sorts. Their childhood has been measured by chaos and I hate that for them. Hoping that graduation is not outside in the end... but I'm just venting.
cnmmom82 : I feel for the kids, and you have every right to feel frustrated. Where is the graduation ceremony going to be held next year?
I didn't know graduation location would be changing. Why is it not at NRG ? Is it just for next year??

Class of 2021 had the worst HS experience. They went through pandemic, home schooling, Hurricane Harvey, Summer Creek HS and graduation was held at Turner Stadium. Right before it was to start an enormous storm hit and canceled it. Scheduled for 8am next morning so some parents were not able to attended and to make matters worse the humidity was awful and sun was pounding on our side of the stadium. It was one last 💩 on their KHS experience. There should be no graduation held outside in Texas during the summer.

cnmmom82 : It is frustrating and I get it, but will add this: One of my boys is a 2020 graduate, and because of Covid, it was held at Turner, in July. It was hot, but still nice to see the kids do their thing and make the best of it. They are more resilient, and less concerned about tradition, than we are.
Humble ISD should consider Toyota Center. It has better parking than NRG and the AC runs cold (lol).

GoldenGirl : That would be good; easier to reach from KW. I hope the decision is made soon, and families can make plans, as needed.
