Scenario for debate (4th try)
If you followed a group, business, etc. on another social media platform, and witnessed them take an extreme view, pouncing on people for their opposing views, would that sway you from doing business with them, attending their events, etc. or would you go on, business as usual?
I've witnessed that, first hand, over the last several months, and am really struggling with continuing my support of them. Yes, they are local, and yes, they depend on traffic to "stay in business" so to speak. Common sense would, one would hope, lead them to stay out of heated and emotional debates, but apparently it's the hill that opt to die on, given their behavior. Not at all happy to see them even turn on "friends" in an effort to shout down the opposition. I have personally hidden them on other platforms, but I still see their attacks on mutual friends postings.
What say you? Support or speak with your absence…

I'm OK with choosing not to spend your money in places where it'll ultimately support things or voices you don't want to support, even if those things are tangential to the actual product or service being offered.
In business I try to stay pol neutral, however, when I see bad behavior online, it makes me want to stay away from them and remove my support.

I walk
donnatella, I don't go out enough to actually make a difference. But I believe in being neutral when being in that sort of business.

No...I won't do business with them, online or brick and mortar. I could name a few businesses currently, but I don't want to go to KDC jail!
If they are being as obnoxious as you have posted then I would not support them. When I owned my own fitness business- my partner and I received some wise advice- a business is a business not a platform for personal agendas. We actually had a weird situation here. A person owning a landscaping company believed passionately in his political views. He showed up to one of his clients and they had a political sign for the opposite party. He knocked on the door and to.d the owners he would not be providing his services any longer. Then he wrote a letter and mailed it to all of his clients saying he would not offer services to clients of opposing political views. Somebody posted the letter on social media and it got heated quick. He lost customers and gained some. Not sure of the end result but I don't see him advertising on the site and I don't see his truck in my neighborhood anymore.
In business you really have to be sure which hills you are willing to sacrifice your business onGray boxed for being political and/or controversial in a General Chat discussion.
