I would rather my HOA taxes be spent fixing that pump than having kids vandalize by spray painting on our buildings.
I wish some of our chemical engineer geniuses would invent fountain bubbles that don't harm pumps so the kids can have their fun and no one complains!

I agree. Pumps are not cheap. Yes they could definitely do worse things, but it is destructive,

luannski : Thank you for your thought provoking response. It's difficult for me to respond as I'm uncertain the point you are trying to make. Are you saying 'It's okay to vandalize the pumps in the town center because HOA resources will cover the damages and it's more aesthetically pleasing than a "tagged" building'? 🫤

RedPill : I'm saying it's the lesser of evils and I really don't think the kids do it to be destructive. They do it for fun!

Those foam bubbles will cause air pockets in the pump and cause cavitation. This will significantly reduce the life of the pump leading to costly repairs. I know people think this is funny and that it is harmless, but they are actually committing an act of vandalism. 😡

RedPill : Thank you. It is very harmful and I do not find it funny. Anyone can call me a stick in the mud if they want but this is vandalism.

I'm not trying to be a kill-joy here. I'm just reminding people about something they probably brain-dumped two minutes after leaving their physical science class. If this is you or your kid, then I hope you have the money to replace the pumps. There's plenty of cameras around there.

RedPill : This happens waaay too much. After the first inciden or two, it would have been prudent to install camera's. All the draining and repairs that have had to happen would have more than paid for the camera's. We could use an activity center in Kingwood for kids to hang out in vs entertaining themselves this way. Old HEB would be a great venue. IMO.

cbear : I'm all for a good time. When I was a kid that usually didn't involve trying to find something to damage and that activity surely wouldn't have been defended by the "adults" in my community. We need to make swats great again.
