suspects racked up a total of over $5,000. One suspect even used the churches debit card that the complainant had due to her being a church employee. Now not only is she out of thousands of dollars but the church is out of money as well. This is camera footage of the two suspects who used the Peep's cards at Marshall's in Summerwood which is near by the la Madeline in Kingwood. The Peep also confirmed that she recognized them as being the couple that sat directly behind her
while eating.â€

That is sad! But, stealing from a purse on the back of a chair, or left in a shopping cart are kind of the 'basic 101's of pickpockets! I mentioned something to a lady at HEB during the T'Day holiday. She left her basket at the endcap, since the baking aisle was crowded. Walked away, purse open, big billfold, full of cards, right on Top! I stood there, as she browsed for items. 4 minutes later, she comes back to see me there, head tilted in a 'wtf are you doing?' way. I explained I was Guarding her billfold; luckily, I am HONEST, or it would have been gone, awhile ago. She actually thanked me, and said she never even thought about that.
sweetie : Marshall's in Summerwood is near La Madeleine in Kingwood? Something is wrong here.
"Near" is relative, in Texas, It's like saying ' a ways' to explain how far away you live. The felons left KW, and went 'all the way' to Summerwood, as they think they are 'smart', leaving the scene....to a store with Big Cameras!
But, hoodie and all, I can hardly believe that an employee might Not get a clue, and ask to see an ID, to check the names on the cards. WHO spends 5K in a Marshall's, on a random weekday, no where near a holiday? Sometimes, these are inside jobs; as they have a friend who Works at the store, and will take the stolen cards, for a cut in on job.

Spending that much should have the clerk question their ID. But you're right probably getting a cut

sweetie : That's so sad that happened ! I always hated that you had to hang your purse there
So sad they did this. I always keep my purse when eating out zipped and on my lap or next to me where no one can get to it. I quit hanging it on my chair years ago.
Wow. Thieves are getting brazen these days… police really need to start going after these types of crimes.
