Papas on the lake in conroe. I went with a friend who's work was having a going away party. So disappointing. That place used to be great. The food menu was all fried stuff.
Food was bland and over cooked.
Famous chips... were aweful.
Beer was hot. Not worth the drive.

Papas in Humble is so expensive on top of it being so loud inside. I swear everything echos in there.

KTownTexican : I could deal with all of that but the beer... I cannot forgive hot beer. Sorry it was disappointing. Too many restaurants I used to like have been disappointing me, too in the last couple years.

KTownTexican : Sorry to hear this. Very disappointing when you are looking forward to a nice meal with good friends. Plus....I personally hate wasting money!

KTownTexican : yeah, their only calling is that they are on the lake 
we have found that the best time to go is when someone is having a fundraiser and selling bbq or similar. The organizers cook, and we get good food, then. and support someone in need. Otherwise, I avoid the place. Used to go there a Lot; you're right, it's sad to see it decline,and it seems like they just don't care. It's not staffing. Low staff or not,you can have an extra 20 to 30 minutes to make my simple food, if I can buy a Cold drink to wait with. I 've got no problem with that. This discussion has been locked.
