As soon as you need to carry your tampons around.

See, it's not about fashion, it's about necessity. Oh, and add to that lip gloss and such in case that cute guy shows up. Emoticon

Carrying a purse everywhere? Prob 12 y.o. Little girls have the cutest things in their purses!  Whenever a little girl at church has one I ask he to show me what she's got.  There's always a lip gloss, usually a happy meal toy, toy cell phone, gum, maybe some stickers... 4951

Depends on the need for us. We do a lot of activities and I get tired of my purse being the catch all...sometimes after a day out doing crap my purse weighs 100 pounds....LOL So I started telling her(AGE 8 NOW) if you must bring a stuffed animal your baby blanket, a water, some food and whatever else you seem to think you cant live without you bring your own catch all bag......lolI dont like carrying a purse, never have but it seems with this child its more a diaper bag sort of thing. 4951

@Burnsway I usually have a purse in my purse so I can travel light at a moments notice by removing the smaller one.  In the small purse I have a portable nylon tote that folds up real tiny like.  So I guess I have a purse in a purse in a purse--LMAO!  4951

My daughter actually loves purses; she's only 9.  But she goes through phases of actually carrying one out and about.  She has alot of purses and each of them have something in it.  She has a small purse that she takes to cheerleading on Wednesday's.  It's a long night, so she has her inhaler (she has sports induced ashtma) and a few dollars for extra snacks/water.  Other purses, consist of fake monopoly money, lip gloss, notes, nail polish, anything girly thing.  I have a purple wallet that I quit using, so she has it now.  She has all kind of expired debit cards, hotel keys, gift cards, etc in the wallet.  She's weird like that.  She collects those cards just for that wallet.  LOL! 4951

@topcat: This is my catch all carry bag.....LOL The picture is it in a full sized recliner giving you an idea of size....it has just as many pockets inside and some on the back too. I can clean it out and go someplace for a day and every pocket will be full again....and no not shop lifting......roflmao! If my kid wants more room to shove stuff off on me then she can carry her own suitcase!!!!!...EmoticonLoading Image...

@topcat: This is true! You'll never see a little girl's face light up as fast as when you ask her to show you what's in her purse!

(This changes dramatically when they get into middle school, btw. Emoticon ) 4951

I started carrying a purse when I was about 21. Lol. I'm just not girly at all, I only started because I lost my wallet due to not carrying a purse.

My 2 yr old has one that she'll carry around the house though. A sparkly Minnie purse. 4951
