HUMBLE, Texas -A Humble woman believes she was the victim of a case of potential attempt of identity theft and a month later she still doesn't have the answers she's looking for.Ronnetta Davenport says her trust in people has been shattered after a simple transaction at a Wal-Mart turned into a shocking breech of protocol. Police are investigating after she says she was in the checkout line when she noticed the cashier, behind the counter, taking photos of the ID and check she had handed over to pay for her purchase."I said, 'You just took a picture of my ID right?' She said, 'Yeah.' I said, 'Why?' I said, 'Is that a new policy or something?' She said, 'yes.'"That's untrue -- and Davenport says she promptly informed managers -- who reviewed surveillance video and told her they saw the cashier take the photos. Davenport later came back with police, but the cashier had already punched out for the night. Davenport's nights since then have been sleepless and full of anxiety."It scares me," said Davenport. "I feel like somebody done broke in my house and they still in here. That's how scared I am."The store suspended and eventually fired the cashier, but police have yet to find her. They also tell Local 2 they aren't sure if they can file charges. In the meantime -- Davenport's questions remain."What is she doing with my drivers license number? What's she doing with my name? What is she doing with my birthday? All of that is on there. You know, I feel violated," said Davenport.(taken off channel 2 website) 4951

So many bad things happen at that WalMart, I go to the one in Porter. The worse thing that happened to me there was a power outage & they couldn't check anyone out. 4951

My son dropped his wallet or someone picked his pocket at that same Walmart . They used it in New Caney as a debit with his zip that was on his DL. People are crazy! My son goes to school and works full time for his money. If more had to find a job rather than live off the system . This world would be a much better place. 4951

Compass Bank had their data base compromised & thieves wrote over $ 17,000.00 worth of hot checks over a 3-day holiday weekend in Pennsylvania using MY NAME & INFO.....bad part is,i have never had an account or even been inside Compass Bank except to be added as a signer on my Mom's account after my Dad passed.....it wasn't even my account, but 11 years later i am still having to explain that to creditors & lenders....... 4951

Another reason to dislike Walmart.  Haven't been to one in a couple of years.  If I can't get that I want at Target, then I purchase online at Amazon.   4951

@BowtieGuy: We bank @ Compass & about a month or 6 weeks ago my husband was having a hard time using his debit card, it kept saying access denied.  So he goes to Compass & they can't find anything wrong but ordered him a new card. A few hours later they call & say his card was used in New Orleans at a WalMart & McDonalds. Really?  You are fraudulently using some ones debit card & you can't think of a better place to shop & eat!  I could go on but I won't...

@pksbar: maybe McDonalds & Walmart IS splurging for them lol.....but i see your point.......the ones that stole mine bought merchandise from the same 3 stores repeatedly over the 3-day weekend.....i had to file theft/fraud reports with 4 different agencies to pursue charges "if" they caught them......

@BowtieGuy: A few years back Chase (credit card) called on a Sunday morning & asks if we bought stuff online & named the items we said no.  They spent somewhere around $8,000.00 on our credit card. Both of us were still in possession of our cards. The purchases were made by someone in California. All we had to do was sign an affidavit saying we did not make the purchases. Then Chase took care of the rest, we didn't even have to pay a $50 charge some companies assess you when your cc is used.

This can happen anywhere, unfortunately this time it was at WalMart. I bet this same thing will be going on at the new Kroger. If not the cashier's then definitely the pick-pocketers. They go to new a places where lots of people will be.  4951
