Good thing milk gives me a headache. I don't look at food prices, I normally just get what I want, but that's ridiculous. 4951

I absolutely love milk. I go through a gallon or more a week all by myself.  But, if it reaches that price I'll do without.  I realize the farmers need to make money to live, but the milk on the grocery shelves are not produced by farmers - they are major companies.  If they think that someone like me will fall for that, they can take their milk and shove it.  What they don't realize that once I get away from my love of milk, I'll probably never go back if they should lower the price.  It's an indulgence that I can live without. What really pizzes me off is they water down milk & call it 1% and skim but they charge the exact same price as they do for whole milk or 2% milk.  I know the % means fat content, but when you look at 1% and skim or taste it, it is milk flavored water.  I have accustomed myself to the taste of 2% but I just cannot stand the taste of milk water....and to have to pay the same price as REAL milk.  BS  OK --- Oma off her rant. 4951

The truck even said it was a "cooperative" with the dairy farmers. 4951

I drink milk like some drink water or tea. It's proven to keep you thin for one thing and another it's healthy. We go thru about 2 gallons every 3-4 days here. Husband has to eat his bedtime bowl of cereal Emoticon 4951

I'm honestly glad my 2 yr old has given up milk. She just won't drink it. She'll be three in about 5 weeks (gasp!) and I'm hoping the doctor says it's no big deal. Milk is expensive as it is, and I wouldn't be surprised to see prices rise even more. We don't buy milk at all at this point. 4951

And that Ladies and Gentlemen is the reason I asked my husband for a milk cow last year for Christmas.  Of course I didn't get it. Emoticon   My kids are still talking about the year that Mommy asked for a milk cow and a gun for Christmas.  I got the gun though. 4951
