I absolutely love milk. I go through a gallon or more a week all by myself. But, if it reaches that price I'll do without. I realize the farmers need to make money to live, but the milk on the grocery shelves are not produced by farmers - they are major companies. If they think that someone like me will fall for that, they can take their milk and shove it. What they don't realize that once I get away from my love of milk, I'll probably never go back if they should lower the price. It's an indulgence that I can live without. What really pizzes me off is they water down milk & call it 1% and skim but they charge the exact same price as they do for whole milk or 2% milk. I know the % means fat content, but when you look at 1% and skim or taste it, it is milk flavored water. I have accustomed myself to the taste of 2% but I just cannot stand the taste of milk water....and to have to pay the same price as REAL milk. BS OK --- Oma off her rant.
