@lola -- phone apps will eat your batteries, though.I have the FitBit -- it's nice. I'm a numbers guy, and I like tracking all the stats. I'm on the computer a lot, so I'm definitely more active if I have a little gadget strapped to me to tell me I'm being lazy. ; )Tip: clip it on the opposite way from how you'd think, so the display is facing your body and not facing outward...you're a lot less likely to get it snagged on something and lose it. Also be careful not to wash clothes while it's still attached. (Yeah...I've lost two FitBits because of this...they've lasted about a year each before I manage to break or lose one...on the positive side, FitBit customer service gave me a new one for free the first time it happened).I got the FitBit before Jawbone was out, so I don't know enough to compare the two. I would never wear a bracelet-style tracker, though (Is that the only style the Jawbone comes in?) 4951
