Okay, I am going to get one of these things, but can't decide which one...The FitBit:  www.fitbit.com/or Jawbone:  jawbone.com/Both have different attributes, but mostly the same thing.  Does anybody have one or the other?  If so, do you like it?  Why did you choose that one?It is not a cheap thing to buy so I want to make sure I choose the right one.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  Emoticon 4951

Are they both fitness trackers?  I haven't used one before.  My DH did weight watchers for a while and they had an online application he used.  He did well with it, till the baby came.   4951

My mom loves her Fitbit. I use a bodybugg but I've heard Fitbit is the best. 4951

There's an app you can use to count steps.  I haven't used it but sounds cool. 4951

@lola -- phone apps will eat your batteries, though.I have the FitBit -- it's nice. I'm a numbers guy, and I like tracking all the stats.  I'm on the computer a lot, so I'm definitely more active if I have a little gadget strapped to me to tell me I'm being lazy. ; )Tip: clip it on the opposite way from how you'd think, so the display is facing your body and not facing outward...you're a lot less likely to get it snagged on something and lose it.  Also be careful not to wash clothes while it's still attached. (Yeah...I've lost two FitBits because of this...they've lasted about a year each before I manage to break or lose one...on the positive side, FitBit customer service gave me a new one for free the first time it happened).I got the FitBit before Jawbone was out, so I don't know enough to compare the two. I would never wear a bracelet-style tracker, though (Is that the only style the Jawbone comes in?) 4951

I like how the Jawbone can be set to vibrate if you have been "sitting still" for too long....  A co-worker of mine has the Jawbone (I hadn't heard of it until her), and she set it for 15 minutes.  So, every 15 minutes if she has been sitting still, it vibrates - so she then gets up and moves around a bit.  Does the Fitbit do this?? 4951
