Considering downsizing phones and cell phone service. Went through the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class and after looking over my budget, I think I'm going to sell my verizon iPhone 5 and break contract. I found a service called ring plus that has a plan... $10 a month for 400 minutes and 400 text, except it's sprint! Then there is page plus (verizon) $30 a month for 1200 minutes and 3000 texts. What do yall think. I need to sell my verizon iPhone 5 to break the contrast and get a dumbphone. I've started hating my iPhone because I'm so obsessed with it advice please 4951

My service is iffy in a few places. I have found that if I switch it to airplane mode or off, when it turns back on, it finds a stronger signal.

A brand new phone should not have this much technology trouble!!

Do you want a contract or not? Even Walmart has some decent plans for prepaid, etc.

You can check some websites which compare and breakdown cell plans and companies. Go to Consumer Reports and check that out. Also there's one called consumer cellular. Com that also wil help. Emoticon 4951

att has better service out here.  My husband has sprint (works pays for it) and it sucks!  he misses so many calls!  His boss is even thinking of allowing him to come back on our plan and pay him monthly for the charges. 4951

@angiekaye:  X's 2, I was with Sprint for like 12 yrs (since they came to Houston), but when I moved to KW in 08, couldn't get service here at the house, had to change to ATT (more expensive, lost my "preferred cust" status with Sprint) quick. Wish they came in better here, as I like Sprint, but ATT comes in great here.

I have Sprint and have never had any problems with missed or drop calls or signal. I love Sprint. Just saw a commercial where they are offering the unlimited data plan for 69.00 lifetime, right now I have the same plan but paying 99.00. So I will be calling to change my plan and if it require an upgrading I'm fine with that since my phone is about three years old but works great! 4951

Sprint is ok now that they have updated their towers but all in all I am getting tired of their bs.  I know they all have it.I don't usually have dropped calls or missed calls except for the two months or so they were changing towers out...I am looking at switching to AT&T because they have service in more places that Sprint does not. 4951

I'm happy with Sprint.  As mentioned before, now that the local towers have been upgraded, I have a stronger signal at my house.  Also, when we took a trip up near Little Rock and then down into LA, Sprint had a signal the entire time and even in very rural areas, I still had 3G service.  I normally get 4G. 4951

My friend has Sprint & drops calls all the time! He is a contractor & uses it all over Houston & it drops calls all over the place. I would not recommend it. 4951
