refreeze Salmon?  We bought Salmon yesterday @ HEB that said previously frozen & I have something else planned for tonight.  I'll probably cook them tomorrow. Should I just leave them in the fridge or refreeze them? 4951

No need to refreeze in that situation. Just fridge is fine. And even if you wanted to eat next week or month refreeze in freezer bag, getting as much air out as possible. 4951

I was thinking of putting them in a freezer bag & putting them in the meat drawer in the fridge. I'll do that.   Thanks 4951

Put it in a zip lock bag  then fill it with water.   Fill your sink with water and lower the bag with the fish into the sink until the water is coming out of the top of the bag so that there isnt any air in the bag. I'd sqeeze as much extra water out of the bag as possible too. Then I'd double bag it in case it leaks.    zero air ---   smallest amount of water possible. 4951

I always freeze seafood in water. If you're just keeping it overnight, double wrap it and put it in the coldest part of your frig. 4951

I was under the impression that seafood and chicken were not "RE-freezable" items. 4951
