Yeah we always get our riding done by 9. And when I mow I get it done early too. My rule of thumb is water for the first hour and electrolytes for the second hour and beyond. People often overlook the fact that they lose calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium when they sweat heavily. Then they dri k to a of water which only makes the electrolyte worse and they end up with heat stroke. I use NUNN tablets- low in calories and sugar and more electrolytes than Gatorade 4951

I mowed in the rain.  It was nice and I got some really funny looks from passersby.  May've been my wet t-shirt.  Emoticon 4951

The grass grows quickly when it rains.  Sometimes my neighbor forgets to turn off his yard sprinkler.  It floods part of my yard, but it also provides a cooling system when I mow.  I don't complain. 4951

@Fallon:

Worth it to not have to deal with heat and they do it in no time as they always work in crews. 4951

get you some of those cool ties, hang it from the back of your neck when mowing... Stop periodically and get cool rags under your armpits and back of knees.  this will cool you off slowly and safely.I do know how you feel bout mowing the jungle.  Hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can!  I can't find the chihuahua in the back yard as it is now!!!  Heck I can only find half a malamute when she is walking across the yard  LOL 4951
