Until now, much of the debate swirling around Obamacare has focused on the cost of premiums in the state-based health insurance exchanges. But what will enrollees actually get for that monthly charge?States are starting to roll out details about the exchanges, providing a look at just how affordable coverage under the Affordable Care Act will be. Some potential participants may be surprised at the figures: $2,000 deductibles, $45 primary care visit co-pays, and $250 emergency room tabs. That's on top of the $321 average monthly premium this is Californias Silver plan.Enrollment is set to begin in October, with coverage taking effect in January. You must have some form of coverage next year, or you will face annual penalties of $95 or 1% of family income (whichever is greater) initially and more in subsequent years. Each state will offer four levels of coverage: platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Platinum plans come with the highest premiums, but lowest out-of-pocket expenses, while bronze plans carry lower monthly charges but require more cost-sharing. Gold and silver fall in the middle. The federal government will offer premium subsidies to those with incomes of up to four times the federal poverty level. This year, that's $45,960 for an individual or $94,200 for a family of four. There will be additional help to cover out-of-pocket expenses for those earning less than 250% of the poverty line: $28,725 for a single person and $58,875 for a family of four. The subsidies are tied to the cost of the state's silver level plans. 4951

Here is what I am going to:   take the penalty until I am sick, then get on the government insurance.I will  drop off once cured, get back on once sick again.Glad Texas opted out of setting up exchanges. It will take years for the feds to set up their own exchanges here and it will be on their dime. Stupid states like California will be stuck with the bill of insuring all the illegals. This is a disaster. 4951

this stupid care,, has good and bad points,, yes health care should be more affordable,,, however not at the expense of my healthcare,, I pay for healthcare insurance,, and ever since this stupid plan came around,, my premiums, and deductible went up,, and the care went down....

now as for my girlfriend who does not have a good paying job,, then this may help,,,

problem I have is,,, who benefits,,,
I met a lady works for a healthcare provider, and she says its good for business,, and is supporting it... she will get a better check, and she already gets free healthcare,,,

it will also help the illegal aliens,,, thats right,, not the "undocumented immigrants",,,, 4951

Getting face time with the family doctor could soon become even harder.A shortage of primary care physicians in some parts of the country is expected to worsen as millions of newly insured Americans gain coverage under the federal health care law next year. Doctors could face a backlog, and patients could find it difficult to get quick appointments. As fixes remain elusive, the shortfall of primary care physicians is expected to grow.Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/06/24/newly-insured-to-deepen-primary-care-doctor-gap/#ixzz2XAYqhepv 4951

Doctors want it because it offers a guarantee payment from the government, and they can raise prices.

People dont want it because it raises premiums, and loweres coverage for the working class,,, oh but the lazy non working, get free coverage. They can buy the insurance, but there are so many loopholes, for "those who dont qualify" to just get free stuff. 4951
