Buy an older home with a narrow driveway and two car garage when you have 4 pick up trucks (2) raised and a sedan? Day 1 all vehicles crammed in driveway, now half the street taken up by neighbors truck(s) because I'm sure it was a pain in the **** to play musical cars. I'm sure one of the attractive parts of our 'hood was nice quiet and clean looking street (rarely a car parked except for landscapers) that made you want to buy here. Why not buy in Forest cove where you can have larger lots, longer driveways? OR in in the sticks?  4951

Unfortunately, we have to play musical cars this summer.  Our daughter graduated college and is home getting her teaching certification.  Her long-time boyfriend is staying with us because he can't find a job in Nacogdoches, but found one here.  So we temporarily have four vehicles to juggle.  Not something I'd want to do for a long time! 4951

We have 3 to juggle but my car is so small I can do a 3pt turn in my driveway so I never have to hunt down daughters keys at 6am to move her van. 4951

We have new neighbors like that too! Either they have a ton of cars or a lot of guests. So far it hasn't caused us any issues though so I'm of the "live and let live" mindset. If the road starts becoming impassable because of it, then some calls will have to be made. 4951

we bought our home 16 years ago, back when the oldest was only 10.  Now we have 5 vehicles and ONE wont fit in the driveway.  No garage as it was converted (before we moved in) to an office/5th bedroom.  We have to play musical cars almost all the time now.   So only 1 big truck on the street *we are on a cal da sac* so doesn't really block any streets. 4951

@TexINS Bet they are illegals. ROFL!!!! Just yanking yer chain!! We have a neighbor that "borrows" cars from the car shop he works for (IDK where) and works on him in his driveway, and his wife, or wives or whatever, detail them. They have different cars on blocks in the driveway, cars on the street in front of my house and across the street. I HATE IT! God forbid I was trying to sell my house... 4951

@texINS - totally agree with you. On our main street in my neighborhood, it got so bad with people parking on both sides, that it became a one way fiasco. I complained and the city came out and made one side of the street no parking!!!! What I can't understand is - people will park one car on the street and the driveway will be completely empty.  If a car is parked for more than 72 hours on the street, you can call the police and they will ticket it (after monitoring it). 4951

No one is supposed to park in the street long-term.  My son parked his car in the street for a while and got a ticket and a rock thrown through the back window.  We keep all of the cars in the driveway now. 4951

The people seem nice and their trucks are all top of the line (no eye sore). If I had that many toys I would have looked in a more rural area. 4951

I have had the problem in the past where my neighbor across the street would park a car directly across from my driveway. What a pain when backing out and it was all the time Emoticon The new person that bought the house is single and parks his car in the garage. Don't you love it when a new person moves in and they are quiet, not tons of cars, AND his lawn is looking great!! 4951

We have had alot of turnover in the neighborhood lately (Seems like house are selling quicker than ever). Always concerned until the new neighbors finally move in. Concerns range from: do they have california plates, do they have 20 cars, do they have non-stop barking dogs, will they be partiers? 4951

@TexINS:

I wonder if you live on the street behind me in Hunters Ridge, the house that sits directly behind me sounds exactly like your neighbors....
