Me and hubby have been together since I was 16. My mom said he couldn't marry me until I graduated. So after turning 19 in June and graduating in July we were married in August. That November we were told we could not have children due to a car accident that almost killed me. In March we were pregnant! I was 20 when I had her, then 1 year and two days later we had our twins I was 21 when the twins were three we had our youngest and I was 26.
When we found out I was pregnant I told him I don't want any children after I turned 25, June I was 26 and he was born in July, we cut it close but I would say it was pretty good timing lol. People thought we were nuts, but we wanted to be young and active with them then when we became grandparents we would still be young enough to enjoy them and keep up.
We could have used a little more maturity, but I don't think anyone is ever truly "ready " to have a baby Emoticon 4951

Got married at 20, graduated college, travelled, baby sat my sisters kids and realized I didn't want any. It was too hard. Took care of my dying mother. Went back to college and got second degree. Stared a career.
But the biological clock kicked in at 35. Got prego had a partial molar pregnancy, had a d/c, had to wait at least a year before trying again. Got prego again 2.5 years later at 38. had my tubes tied.

I think it depends on if you are ready or not-able to support the child, mature enough, stable in your relationship. 4951

I got married at 18, when we were both in college. We waited until we both graduated and I was 22 when our daughter was born.

Just had my first in December. I was 28 and still wasn't "ready"...because I don't think anyone ever is. We were financially ready, thank God.

Your friend will get ready real quick when she gets pregnant! 4951

Oopsies! Twins at 24.  I am 41 and would end up in the Psych ward if I got preggers now. I think younger is better.  I love my kiddos to death, but am looking forward to many, many years of enjoying them as adults and having kids of thier ownEmoticon I want to be the cool great-grandma someday. 4951
