Going to the Houston Zoo (late start but better than not going). We usually leave a cooler in the car rather than take stuff inside but today we're wanting to take a backpack of snacks & drinks in with us. Anyone know if they will let us bring in outside food & drinks? Thanks in advance. 4951

Awesome thank y'all. We're going to have to sneak our capri suns in (straws... we're rebels like that) but there's no way we'd throw them on the ground or anywhere that isn't a trash can. I think I'm just as excited as DD, lol. 4951

I would use the outing as an excuse to go to Niko Niko's or find the Coreano's food truck. 4951

We ended up just leaving the bag in the car because no one wanted to carry it, lol. Had a wonderful time though.
@Ann2800 kids under 2 are free, 11 & under are $10, & adults are $14. They've added a lot of wonderful exhibits though & it's well worth the money. Emoticon 4951

@Heathur:

The last time we went we got in free using our bank of america card. Dont know if this is always or we just hit the right day. We had to pay for each person individually but as long as you had id and last names on card matched there was no charge. 4951

Free days are a nightmare.  We have a membership and go quite often.  I once accidentally went on a free day and do not recommend it if you can afford to go on a regular day. 4951
