Maybe the triumph will have some cheap cruises when the get up and running.  You know they will have it all cleaned up and running good. 4951

MAybe Carnival should raise their prices and get a new boat. Sounds like the Triumph is as bad as the band. 4951

What has happened has not changed my mind at all about going on a cruise.  We're all set to again and yes we are staying with the Truimph, it's close to home and they hooked us up with the new dates.

It's like saying, since a plane goes down, you're never flying again.. Or you get in a car accident, you're never driving again..

Who can live in that kind of mindset?!? 4951

Cruising is a great time. And if you break it down it is a better value than a land vacation. Plus, there are some destinations that are best by boat (e.g. Alaska and the Mediterranean). 4951

I have friends that go to Disney nearly every year.  It is big money.  I don't get it.  Too crowded, and it is an amusement park.   I know it is more, but the money is obscene that you have to spend to get there and stay there. For that kind of money you can get a really nice VRBO house on Dauphin Island for a week.   We did that a year ago.  Tons of fun, and actually we spend way less than our friends did going to Disney.  For the price of a Disney trip you can almost go to Hawaii.  Just no way I'd pay that much to go and hang out with a few hundred thousand hot sweaty folks.  lol

I would go on a cruise today if offered......It is a cheap way to travel..   My favorite by far though is still an All Inclusive in Mexico !!!!  Now your talking food and drinks included......   The bar tab on a cruise is shocking after 5 days !!!! 4951

Yep...all-inclusives are the way to go.....dont have to worry about anything except when the waiter is coming back around with more drinks.

Going out on a floating port-a-potty aint my idea of a vacation. 4951

Yeah we are still going on a cruise out of Florida for our honeymoon. You can visit more then one place in a couple of days. We are going to Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, and Half Moon Cay. We are also cruising Holland America. 4951

Not only cheap, but you may end up with a 3-5 day cruise extension if there's another fire in the engine room. 4951

We spend a lot of time traveling usually going somewhere every 3-4 months. We just got back Sunday from a week long cruise and you just can't beat the price and amenities. We take at least 1 cruise a year and are already planning our next. It's a great way to explore new ports and may even find there are some you love so much you fly back to later. Some places we take excursions at all inclusive resorts and have a great time. We have met some wonderful people in our travels and no matter where you travel it will be hard to beat the service and hospitality you receive on a cruise ship. We always get ocean view or ocean front in the hotels we stay at, but there is nothing like the ocean view of your balcony on a cruise ship. We were 25-30 feet from the water in a cove balcony, we watched the dolphins jumping out of the water along  the ship, some leading out a freighter and even a hugs swordfish delighted most of us for a show. Cruising is the way to go! 4951
