I think that having the entire school's occupants bow their heads and pray in the name of Jesus once a day is problematic because there are many people who do not want to, and we should not make them. Having said that, I think that sometimes people make too big a deal out of it by doing whatever they can to either not pray or to have prayer be stopped through a change in school policy. @TexINS does, I have found myself in a situation with other people who are praying, and I sometimes respectfully and sincerely join. I think that even an atheistic person (which I don't consider myself to be) should try to see the value of prayer as a moment of kinship with fellow human beings who are religious.
