I found a small black/tan dog, which I believe is a minpin/dachshund mix, yesterday, September 18th in the morning off of Kransburg Ridge in Oakhurst.  Weighs about 10-15 lbs, and approximately 1-year old.  Very sweet and lovable.  Anyone know where this dog belongs, please let me know.  Thank you. 4951

He looks full Dachshund to me - black/tan.  The markings over his eyes are common with black/tans.  I have a red mini and black/tan mini.  I hope you find his home soon, if not, I am sure you will have no problem finding a home for him.  They are the best lap dogs in my opinion, and not to start an argument with other breed owners, but just a little biased toward dachshunds having owned and raised minis for close to 30 years.  Please keep us updated.  4951

@manhunter: My foster dog is a wire haired doxy (or at least part!).  Do you want to adopt him?  I'll post on another thread.  Emoticon 4951

@lola:
I will trade my 20 year old daughter for him. I used to have a wire haired.  The hair on his head was white and stood straight up.  We named him Sigmund Freud and called him Siggy.  They are typically more nervous than the short haired regular breed. 4951

@manhunter: aw, Einstein would have been a good name too Emoticon

I'll pass on the trade.  haha

Wally is young, about 8 months old and acts every bit like a puppy.  He's a barker and mouthy.
I hope to find him the right home soon.

@lola: Actually I think we got confused when we named him, thinking of the guy with the white wild hair, which was Einstein, but we had it in our head it was Freud.  Oh well, he liked his name. 4951
