Anyone know how/if I can move the magnet from my old door and put it on my new door?

I've never seen them installed so I don't know if it's glued or screwed in.   I obviously have the old door and I see the sensor just haven't tried to pry it off.

help? 4951

How did you pry it off?  And do I use glue to adhere it to the new door?

@silly123
I called ADT and the guy on the phone didn't know.   A service call costs $120 + add'l charges for every half hour after the first hour.  I did manage to get him to say they'd cut the price in half.  I told him I would google the for 'how to'.  Emoticon 4951

The sensor on my door is sunk in a small hole. It can be pried out with a screw driver and put in the new door with little effort as long as it is line up 4951

You can gently pry it out and drill a new hole in the new door . I have the sensor if you break it,i keep them on my truck for when i change out door units  to save the customer some money.
