I loved shopping with my daughter this year.  She wanted to try things on.  She looked through and seemed more interested in things. 4951

Heck to the no! lol! She wanted them a year or 2 ago when they very first came out but I couldn't find them & she eventually stopped wanting them. I wouldn't have got them anyways because I was scared she would hurt herself! Same with those roley skate shoes. They've got the bella ballerinas at Academy though & palais royal if you're looking. These I ordered were some black hi-top sequin twinkle toes. She got those, some black sequin flats from JC Penny, & silver flats from Justice. She got some silver sparkly Bobs a month ago too that still look brand new. She's set on shoes. Not to mention tons & tons of new super cute clothes. Here are the shoes I ordered.

2 capris
1 dress
17 shirts
3 pairs of shoes
Tons of socks & undies
Made a few new hair bows
New backpack
New lunch kit
New supplies she picked out

She's ready for back to school, lol. Hubby & I took her clothes shopping & then my parents took her clothes shopping when DH & I saw batman, so she's got lots of clothes. She's super into what she wears & loves picking her stuff out. Very selective. 4951

She's an awesome kiddo. Very well behaved & respectful. Super smart, but also an only child - so she does get everything she needs & then some. She's super appreciative though & works for most of the things she wants. Does chores for an allowance & saves up for toys and random things she wants. DH & I don't buy for ourselves very often. We'd rather do for her than for ourselves. It's how our parents did both of us growing up & just feels natural for us. He & I both had awesome childhoods & appreciate our parents so much. We just want to give our baby the same. Emoticon Plus she's had both sets of grandparents wrapped around her little finger since the day she was born, lol. 4951

BTW- any mom who's daughter is into their hair, this website has some awesome, fairly easy styles. "Princess hair" is a regular request from my munchkin.

I thought they'd be dangerous, too but they're really not...the spinny thing is kind of right in the center of the ball of their foot (behind the toes) so there's really not much of a chance of falling. Plus, the spinny thing is kind of lame spin-wise, but the kids don't know that. Emoticon

She loves the twinkle toes, too. I'm looking forward to moving on from Skechers (maybe this year...now she wants plain white Nikes). I blame them for a partial generation of kids who can't tie their own shoes by 6. lol 4951

@brightlights: They are absolutely to blame for a lot of the kids who can't tie their shoes. Not every shoe needs velcro, geeze. The boys skecher Hot Light's & Luminator's are just as bad. All bungee's or velcro. There's some cute brand that I used to see only in boutiques that I saw at Palais Royal a few days ago that have laces that are really cute. Cute patterns or sparkly girly shoes with reversible tongues & cute laces. DD really likes Bob's & Tom's too, but I think my teenage sister in law is to blame for that because I think they're sort of ugly. Journey Kids had some really cute Puma's yesterday. Plain white nikes would be awesome though. Match everything & nike is such a durable brand.
