I've looked and I've ask so now I'm turning the question to you guys - How do I go about becoming a fitness instructor or getting the correct licensing here? I used to instruct yoga, step aerobics, water aerobics, and kickboxing but the state or employer didn't require anything specific. 4951

Go to affa.com and you can get certifications there. You I'll have to do written and practical testing. There is one coming up in september for $99.00. 4951

Gold standards are ACE, AFFA, NASM and ACSM- they are all accredited. If you are new to the industry try and find an experienced instructor to mentor with. I've been in the industry for 18 years -BA in Psychology and 3 certs with ACE- Group Fitness, Personal Trainer and Advanced Fitness Professional. It's important to get a nationally recognized base cert and then get a mento Or further education and practice practice practice!! 4951
