In case you don't read the Atascocita.com boards.
Who ever is the freaking idiot is that keeps setting off the fireworks in Atascocita south at 11 o'clock at night could you please have a little consideration for your neighbors. Get civilized, you're not in the freaking country. I'm glad you're enthusiastic about this time of year but really can you please stick with the small firecrackers not the same ones they put off during the fireworks show during the big Fourth of July celebrations. Not everyone is a redneck crack head that likes to stay up all night looking at the fireworks and having our house sound like their bombs going off inside of it. If you can't control yourself can you please wait until the actual day of fourth of July ? Geez!
PS you're stressing my child and my dogs out!! 4951

I always dread July 4th and New Years Eve because of the fireworks.  I like them, but my two dogs (one in particular) starts quivering and hiding from the noise.  4951

I heard that last night.  There's someone around W. Lake Houston and 1960 who has a recording of dogs going wild.  Every so often it plays.  Neighbors as "did you hear those crazy dogs".  It's a recording - those crazy dogs always sound exactly the same. 4951

Over this way we have been enjoying fireworks
for days and as neighbors are friends we have been partaking in the festivities together and also with our children.

Redneck crackheads? Sounds like you are more
likely to be the one that needs to relocate. Take the time to discuss with your neighbor and/or learn some tolerance.

It is inconsiderate to others who are trying to sleep. It sounded like it was the street behind me and it was very loud an late! 4951

Yes red neck crackheads. I say that because I can't imagine any civilized person causing a nuisance late at night with no consideration to people that have to sleep or who have young children that have to sleep. It's rude and inconceivable for a person to be so disrespectful to the people around them. If I were the kind of person who like to party all night and make loud noises and scare children and scare pets then yes I would move out to the country where I didn't sit on top of neighbors. As for speaking to the people doing it, I would gladly speak to them if I knew who they were, but since they only put the bombs off and then go running into their house like chickens and come out 15 minutes later to do it again, I have no idea who I should be talking to. This is not a matter of neighbors getting together being obnoxious with the consent of their neighbors. These are people who are disrupting an entire neighborhood. I fully expect this kind of noise I'm New Year's Eve and fourth of July but not for the entire week before and another week after. 4951

I love fireworks too and certainly expect and don't mind them on certain dates of the year. I should not however have to go out and spend $100 on jackets so that my dogs feel comfortable in their own home so other people can blow off bomb like firecrackers all through the night four days on end. And I don't think they make those jackets for children so that they can sleep through the night. Lol 4951

My personal opinion is that if there is time to complain on a message board that same energy could be put in to resolving the issue at hand with a neighbor in person. It's very easy to throw stones from behind a keyboard but much harder to actually take initiative to solve ( or attempt to address ) a problem at hand.

My neighbors are not perfect and not am I but we have become friends by discussion-- not from judgement. Tolerance is key along with the recognition that everyone, no matter how bad you would like prescribes to your same formula of utopia.

Given there are those that are beyond reason but just the same those of that school never appeared to me as being crackheads. You're not perfect either.....get over it and move on.

Lastly we do have what is called a noise ordinance
in Harris Co. Should you continued to be disturbed after 11 make the call and put the issue to bed. 4951

Me Too!!!

I was excited this year that the ban was off. We've had so much fun thus far and our 8yo loves him some mortar shells! Great timed and amongst
my favorite family memories as a child which will be continued; I'm sure of that! 4951
