Now that I have your attention I have something I must say.

There are different kinds of breeders.

BYB, the back yard breeder.
The backyard breeder is usually one who doesn't give any thought or consideration to the health or the confirmation of the breed. This type of breeder will just take two dogs and put them together and hope for the best. A BYB can have a champion dog but that does not mean this is a reputable breeder. A BYB Will breed for money, so their kids can experience birth, so their friends can have puppies, or even to ensure they have future business such as grooming clients, pet sitter clients, boarding clients and even future veterinarian clients. They will not have contracts, Will not test their breeding stock for hereditary health defects or that the dog even looks like the breed it is. Even a person who "Loves" their dogs and breeds them may be ignorant to properly go about being a reputable breeder. Sometimes backyard breeders just don't know any better and believe that everybody will love the puppies they produce and they will never end up in the pound or starved or flea Ridden or in someone's backyard orbeton throughout their life.

Puppy mill breeder
These type of breeders breed only for the sole purpose of money. They have no affection or connection to their breeding stock. They will keep breeding pairs in enormous numbers and brief them till they die or can no longer produce and then dump them in the streets or kill them or starve them. The parents of puppy mill puppies, like the puppies you see at all pet stores, Will never know the love of a human touch or the grass beneath their feet. They will never know what good food tastes like nor will they ever get veterinarian care. Sick filthy dirty and on their deathbed they will still produce puppies for the puppy miller. Happy Miller's know exactly what they are doing they just don't care. They breed for greed.

Reputable breeder
These are breeders that breed solely to improve the breed they love. They want nothing more than to create the perfect dog with out any health problems. While most dogs will have health problems the reputable breeder works very hard to minimize these issues. A reputable breeder Will make sure that parents are confirmationally correct so back the dog can do the job it was bred to do, to all health testing on genetic defects to get the puppy the best chance to have a healthy life, have strict contracts on puppies sold, only breed a litter when they have a wait list for potential adoptive pet parents, only breed a ***** on a minimal basis for a short amount of the dogs life, and provide the best care for their breeding pairs. This type of breeder will not make money on the breedings. All money gained from sold puppies will go back into the dogs and the help testing and the showing and the raising and the care of their dogs.
A reputable breeder will never and I mean never post an ad for a mate for one of their dogs. They will always have an approved ***** or stud in place through extensive pedigree and health registry research. A reputable breeder will also never place an ad in the newspaper or on the Internet ads to find homes for the puppies.

So there you go. It's up to those who know better to educate those who don't or to at least try to open another person's eyes as to the damage they could be causing by breeding just any ole dog. There is never any harm in trying to educate someone about something that they otherwise wouldn't know. If they teach them something new great if not at least they can say they did their part in trying. 4951
