HOUSTON -- It looks like the Bayou City has earned a spot among the most bedbug-infested cities in the country. According to a study conducted by Terminix, Houston ranked No. 12 on their top-15 list. The only good news? Dallas was No. 11. But seriously, Terminix created the list by compiling data from their 300 branches across the U.S. Researchers evaluated bedbug-related service calls from customers, as well as confirmed cases by service professionals. "Bedbugs continue to increase their presence across the U.S.," said Stoy Hedges, an entomologist with Terminix. "While major metropolitan areas are most at risk, it is important to note that bedbugs have been spotted in cities and towns across the country." Philadelphia took top honors this year, followed by Cincinnati; New York City; Chicago; Detroit; Washington, D.C.; Columbus, Ohio; San Francisco; Denver, New Haven, Conn.; Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami and Cleveland. 4951

Bedbugs die at extreme heat so we will never be totally infested.  Folks get rid of them by super heating the infested location. 4951

My nephew went to a baseball camp up in Arlington and my brother had to pick him up a week earlier than planned because they had a beg bug infestation. 4951

those little critters are every where & will ride home with you in your purse on on your sox , once they get in , it will cost you a small fortune to get rid of them . So check everything  , each square inch  or you just might be giving them a free ride to your home. 4951
