Not a fan of dog friendly restraunts. Really can't see anything good with this type of policy. 4951

Glad it is dog friendly. There are a couple of places in Houston that are as well.

Heck in Europe, most restaurants allow you to take your dog. I don't get grossed out by this at all. If you are sitting outside eating, there are so many other things that get in your food like flies & knats. A dog hair won't kill you, lol. 4951

Humans shed a lot actually. I love dog friendly restaurants. It's true that babies act a lot worse than dogs at restaurants, and we have to be subjected to sitting inside with those things! 4951

I met some friends Friday night at this place called Beaver's in the heights. They are dog friendly and welcomes our well behaved dogs on the patio with no issues. We had a blast!

It's not the dogs, it's their owners. Some owners think their dogs are cute and well behaved, and they are not. Someone will bring their aggressive dog, someone will bring their slobbering dog (anybody been around when a mastiff shakes their head?). Dogs will urinate and take a dump (ever been to Petsmart-happens all the time in there).

Another reason why Europe is lame.
Babies are alot more important thatn dogs. there is no comparison.

But, I am a free market guy and if that is what the tasting room wants to do, then go for it. 4951

I've personally never witnessed a bad behaved dog, a dog that pisses and **** by food, or a dog shaking and slobbering at a dog friendly restaurant, and I've been to many.

Now I have witnessed babies screaming their heads off, throwing tantrums, throwing up, and throwing food and utensils at restaurants. 4951

@xjamiex: I think most people are more understanding of kids acting up in restaurants because, let's face it, at one time or other, you or I probably acted up in public as a child.  They are children, not robots.  But, if going to eat in public, I would never imagine why it would be a good idea to bring our dog.  Restaurants are for people, not canines.

Babies don't have strong arms and they release the objects too late: the food and utnecils never make it past their plate.  Crying is awesome. It means the human race will continue.  Anyway, once you have kids you will understand that dogs have their place.

As a side note - that GSD pup is great looking.

Also, like how the restraunt uses white gravel. Easy to see dog minds. 4951

@xjamiex: It's all good.  My wife and I had one or two embarrassing incidents with our child at restaurants.  We didn't go eat out for a long time because of his behavior.

I respect responsible parents..that goes for human and dog parents. I don't hate babies, I just prefer to own dogs instead of them. I have a feeling thay i could keep a dog under much better control thab a child The responsibility of raising a human being in this F'd society and the toll it would take on my body downright frightens me. Children are of higher importance than dogs according to law, but it's also a personal opinion that kids matter more, or people for that matter. The average dog is nicer than the average person and there are some family members that I'd choose leaving an inheritance to the dog than them. 4951
