This will be my 3rd attempt.  I have not been impressed with my home cooked brisket yet but at least this time I can give it to all these kids in my house. 4951

It depends what I'm doing with it. If I'm going to use the meat for tacos, I don't cook it with a lot of seasonings. If for a roast dinner...then yeah with mashed potatoes and veggies. Season with garlic or garlic powder, seasoned salt or beef broth and onions, lots of ways to do it.. 4951

Cooked one yesterday. Put worshershire and smoked chipotle Tabasco all over it. Then made a rub with fresh minced garlic, garlic salt, cayenne pepper, black pepper, slap ya mamma, dried mustard, sugar, chili powder, dried thyme and crushed red pepper flakes. Rubbed all sides of the brisket and let it rest over night.
Then baked covered with foil at 220 for 8 hours.

Best brisket I have made at home. Sticking to this recipe from now on. 4951
