It was hot yesterday.  I mowed the yard and did some yardwork and got a bad headache and took the rest of the evening to get over it.  I guess I will have to start doing the yard at 6 in the morning.  Sorry neighbors, but if you don't like it, I will let you cut my grass anytime. 4951

Yes I agree, a yard service is so worth the $$$.

I wouldn't even know how to use a lawnmower, lol. 4951

I enjoy doing our yard , Iam almost 70 & I still mow , weed eat & trim our lawn . I start at 8 am & Iam done by 10 am . If my neighbors have a problem with it they don't say anything....of course all my neighbors work , so I guess they are up & out of the house by the time I start doing my outside work . 4951

Heck I'm 54- we just spent the last 6 weeks relandscaping our back yard and building a deck. That's above and beyond my normal mowing and gardening. If you acclimate it's not a big deal. But I guess it's not a big deal for me as I ride or run almost every day. Now take back north and put me the cold and I'm done!! Lol we threw out our snow shovel when we moved here 10 glorious years ago! 4951

It definately takes some getting used to.. Last summer in Oklahoma, we had over 30 days (not sure how many exactly) but every single day was well over 100 degrees! BUT we of course don't have the humidity like here.. I can only imagine that it will take some getting used to..!@WJo : That is impressive!! Emoticon Have you lived here for a long time? 4951

@Ambyr...we moved here 4 long years ago from Ky. our house here in Texas will go on the market tomorrow & as soon as it sells we are on our way back to KY. I miss the snow & having 4 seasons . Plus everything is really convient in Ky. But here in Texas if you need something you have to plan ahead & pack a lunch  cause it will be an all day trip to get what ever it is you need . Plus the property tax here in Texas is horrible ! In Ky. we owned just under an acre with an inground pool & 3000 sq.ft. house our property tax was $500. a year . Here in Texas we have a postage stamp for a yard, no pool & a 2801 sq.ft. house & our property tax is almost $7,000. a year. Hubby wants to retire but we can not do that here because of the taxes , so it's back to Ky. for us as soon as this house sells. 4951

$7,000 a year!!!!! Holy crap!!! yeah, we are renting because we own 2 houses in Oklahoma. The one we lived in was 2500 sf on 5 acres with a 2000sf shop huge pond horse stalls, taxes were 1200 a year MAYBE... I'm really glad you mentioned that.. It may keep me from purchasing a home here.. WOW! 4951
