DD, does Ziva miss her "old" family? How sad......I'm glad you have her though, she will be in a much better home with someone who really lovers her. I just don't see how people give up their pets. 4951
From what I gathered, she was gone a lot for work and spent a lot of time at her B-friends, so she didn't get to let her out as much as she needed to be out. As an Australian Shepard, she needs to get out a lot. She out runs every dog on the street by 2 fold. So it wasn't good for her to be in that much. I'm guessing that is her reasoning for trying to find her a better home. Ziva does occasionally seem a little home sick, but I can tell she is adjusting quickly. She already seems to think she owns the down stairs. It took until last night before she would even touch the stairs though. 4951
I am so glad you took her. She reminded me of Sheila, and I know losing her had to be so hard on you. So now you have a new friend to share your life with. It's a win/win for you both. Dogs love their people, so if her previous owner was leaving her alone all the time, then that wasn't good for her, so now she has you. Can't wait to meet her some time. 4951
DD, you available tomorrow morning? I can meet you at Deussen, my dogs need to run before I go to work! I bet Prime would love to meet another chocolate dog! 4951
that would give them a good 1.5hr      that doesnt sound bad.  I'll ask her.      ....hmmm, she is giving me a funny look.   I think she is debating it.   ...or   she thinks Im an idiot. 4951
