Costs are uncomfortable truths many choose to not know, or worse, ignore for convenience's sake.

Please keep in mind that transathletes in women's sports in not just about the few athletes that are displaced in ranking; it affects many more young girls/athletes psychologically when a male is allow in their sport. And, many parents in the lower and middle economic groups do have hopes of scholarships for their children. I know that is lost to many people who do not have children counting on those scholarships or lost to people from higher socio-economic groups. I feel that many who belittle people who care about this issue do not have children (specifically female children) in sports if they have children at all. It is unfair to demonize and "reduce" the group of parents and children who are actively dealing with this issue firsthand. The very people who defend minorities are the same ones bashing this group of people they are saying is a group in "minority" . At times even saying that it is a NON-issue. It is hypocritical and cruel and I encourage anyone who feels this isn't very important to many just to get out of their sphere a bit and see unbiasedly what the uproar is about and who is most concerned/and dealing with this issue.Liberals can't have it both ways. Are we to listen to racial minorities but not the group that liberals THEMSELVES say are in the minority which is the group of parents and kids very concerned about what allowing men into women's sports has done and could potentially do.

I feel you live life in theory a lot Rapsalot. Sometimes I feel you don't even get out the door and have to really maneuver in this society. That or you have always been given "accommodations" of some sort. Sorry, but you just don't seem to get the whole notion of "real struggle for limited resources" bit.

I have a daughter that played just about every sport imaginable. Lettered in 4, even made all district in a couple. The other wasn't much of an athlete but has coached boys and girls soccer in Huston ISD. She knows rules, tactics and kids well. I think I understand. Most people do.
As for me, not a hermit and never any accommodations.

Then you should not be bashing on parents that have dealt with this issue. And you should understand how it affects the whole team when a male joins their team not just the athletes that are being reduced in rankings. Or can you not imagine what it does to their psyche when their scholarships matter to them.
Perhaps you are not close enough with the age groups that are now dealing with this because a male participating on the girls' teams was not an issue in previous generations.

One of my daughters currently coaches girls soccer at the high school she is a teacher at. The other as an administrator supervises several girl's sport in the district she works at. Title IX is a thing ISDs deal with. Their sense about the situation is better than mine and they scoff.
You didn't answer my question about impacted family.. Please do.

My daughters deal directly with parents on a constant basis. They scoff at the notion that boys in girls' sports is the threat to society politicians and their tools are making it out to be for the sole purpose of getting votes from the most gullible.
Do you personally know any girls who participated against trans athletes? I admit neither I nor my daughters do despite being at far too many to count sporting events.
