Ring cameras

We are thinking of putting in some ring cameras (or similar).

We are thinking one at the front door and one at the back door.

How many do you all have?

Do you pay for the service?

We have three floodlights and a doorbell cam. We pay a monthly sub. I like them very much

I had ring cameras at our house in the city (San Antonio) and loved them. Sold city house and moved to the We are full time in the country on 6 acres and do not run cameras at this time as we are 600 feet off the road, work from home and the deer would be setting them off constantly. We are in the process of building a shop/barndominium and will likely put some cameras there as we can fence out the deer.

TLDR: I like Ring cameras.

We hired a contractor for the structure and have been working alongside them for the quarters portion as it is new to them so a co collaboration if you will for the 900 sq foot auxiliary unit house/apartment.

4 inside, 5 outside, 3 or 4 floodlights, ring doorbell, smoke and monoxide alarms in every room. And I have the service. Did I say my husband was a fireman. 🤪
My sons take care of them now.

0 and never pay for service
Amazon has some pretty nifty cameras for less than $30 each with free cloud data. You can pay for the better cloud but I never have. One time buy . No stupid scripts.

We have 9 cameras and a Ring doorbell. We pay $100 a year for the service which is well worth it IMO. The only problem is a swarm of bugs that wake up all at once at 4:54AM and again at 4:56AM. They fly thru the path of one of the cameras and set off the motion. Every single morning. The video looks like welding sparks but its these crazy early-rising bugs.
