📢Hello, Kingwood neighbors! My name is Maria Fabiola Arias, and I am a student at Lone Star College Kingwood. Together with Student Life, we are organizing a donation drive to help families affected by the recent earthquake in Venezuela. Many people have lost their homes, access to food, clean water, and basic medical supplies. Right now, they need our help. No donation is too small. Even one can of food, a package of gauze, bandages, cotton, alcohol, soap, diapers, or other hygiene items can make a real difference for someone in need. Every item we collect will be sent through Global Empowerment Mission to help families affected by this devastating natural disaster. Donation boxes are available at the Student Conference Center (SCC) on the Lone Star College Kingwood campus through July 30. There are a total of 3 boxes like the ones shown in the second picture, they are going to stay in the building until the last day of our donation drive so feel free to stop by whenever it is more convenient for your schedule. I have a few blankets that have only been used once or twice. If I PROMISE to wash them would you want them?
OK, thank you. I understand why they are asking for new. It is because people take things in to places, like Goodwill, and are supposed to wash them first, but they don't, and I am pretty sure your organization wouldn't have the facilities, time, etc. to clean everything. And you can't always trust people to do what they say. I feel bad because lazy people use that as an opportunity to dump junk to get rid of it rather than giving from the heart. I will do what I can. Thank you.
Excellent, thank you for posting & all your hard work! Praying for the survivors & the missing.🙏
