2026 Flood Insurance Premium
Has anyone else received their bill?
We got ours today. The premium increased by $20 to $578. That's better than I anticipated, based on how everything else has gone up in price this year.

IMHO, it's still the cheapest insurance we can buy, given our area's proximity to the floodplain.

My renewal is $1267 and not in a flood plain either. I would gladly trade you for the $578 premium. Are you in Kingwood and if so, where?

Well, that's much better than I would have anticipated. I heard they were gonna go up by hundreds of dollars. 20 bucks is not bad at all. I don't think we have received ours yet. I hope ours is more along the line of yours as far as increases.

Mine went up a couple bucks because the value of the house allegedly went up per the county assessor.

Mine was $500 something. I live in Foster's Mill and have never flooded but others in my village flooded after the Lake Conroe Dam fiasco.

Ours has doubled since we moved here in 2007. It is now over $800, and we have never flooded (didn't even have water collecting in the street during Harvey) and are not in a flood plain. I know of others who have flooded and have lower premiums, and some who haven't flooded who have higher premiums. I called the NFIP a year or two ago when I received my bill to inquire about how they are setting the rates. I spoke to a most unhelpful lady who was angry that I was wasting her time and refused to provide any relevant information.

Just got mine. $1078...never flooded. Water barely got over the curb in Harvey. 1/2 a mile away in Bear Branch our other house is around $700. Makes no sense.
