Kingwood Painted Tree Permanently Closing
Doors to the Painted Tree were closed to the public as of this morning, April 14, 2026. A source at the Kingwood store confirmed that the Kingwood location was closing permanently. Painted Tree sent out the email message below to their vendors. Email sent to us said to be from Painted Tree: "Dear Shop Owners, It is with deep regret that we write to inform you that Painted Tree Boutiques has made the very difficult decision to cease all business operations today; Painted Tree will not be conducting any further retail sales at any location. We understand the impact this has on you and your business, and we are truly sorry. We know many of you have invested significant time, energy, and resources into building your spaces at Painted Tree, and this is not the outcome any of us hoped for. Retrieving Your Inventory

SpaceCat : Me too!!! I could always find a quick last minute outfit, shoes, jewelry and ready to go!
Joe : Thanks for letting us know. Sorry to see another place close. They didn't seem too busy except around holidays . They also seemed to have issues with theft even with cameras.
Joe : I'm sorry to hear this news, and for the vendors that relied on this place to generate income. It's also a shame that that space will be empty again, hopefully someone will be able to rent it and make it a permanent home at some point.
Joe : The way I read this is that they're closing all of them?! I hope I'm reading it wrong.
Joe : Yeah, we got the same email... seems all PT are closed now but we only have the Kingwood location so can confirm
CatalinaKitKat : Hopefully another nail salon, specialty drinks or chicken place. We don't have near enough of those.
donnatella : You forgot.... urgent cares!

donnatella : KanKan : hlh212 : Sadly, another vacant space and sad for PTB. That is not a surprise to many of us given how much shoplifting they endured. I would love to see Steinmart return. Or..something comparable.
Joe : I am surprised the vendors didn't get advanced warning of this. If, you're on vacation, do you lose your inventory? Found some great items there. Sorry to see them close.😢
donnatella : Mediterranean places are a close 4th now
