Criticism directed at Humble ISD If this is true, I assume Parents signed permission slips, so it's not like they weren't aware. Kingwood has a MSA, but Atascocita does not, according to the school websites.

@FeralHermit :
Right, she wouldn't have a problem with them being brought to a church to teach them about Christianity. If church and state are to be separate, then neither is okay. If on the other hand, we don't believe religion should be kept out of schools, then all are allowed.

Don't need to look it up. Anything with that much anger is obviously just hate mongering propaganda. It's like reading the old tabloids you get at the grocery store checkouts.

When I was at Foster Elementary, we memorized and sung 'I wish I was in Dixie'. Lol. Education is wild.

Wasting time on this kind of crap field trip is why U.S. students are illiterate when they graduate. Can't spell, can't speak correctly, can't do basic math. All the problems with our education system and still we see them wasting these kids' time with this useless junk. Really, to tell you the truth, give them manners lessons because kids sure are lacking in that skill.

Nah. It's because teachers aren't allowed to fail kids anymore. You just have to be enrolled in school and you'll get a diploma. Don't even have to show up. I'm serious. My first year of teaching we couldn't give lower than a 70.
