That has to be a typo. How can a small pedestrian bridge be $66 million?????
EDIT - It's the pedestrian bridge over the drainage gully behind the old HEB (Sprouts) running parallel to Kingwood Drive on the north side of Kingwood Drive. According to the measuring function of Google maps, it's 148 feet long. First, why is it being replaced? It looks fine. Second, where do they come up with $66M? No possible way that bridge is $66M to replace. It has to be a mistake.

Preach.

Has to be. Even if they forgot to use a decimal, it still seems like … federal GSA pricing rather than the usual government "lowest bid, technically acceptable" pricing.

7.7 Million to repave a road? Have you all seen the project sign along Mills Branch? They are so bold to show us how much they overpaid to have that small stretch of road asphalted.

BladeBowandAxe : No way that stretch of road should not have cost that much. Who approved that expense? However, I like the end result. The road is so much better now.

BladeBowandAxe : nope it's like a million for the repaving the rest is in the name of "flood control". if you stay on kdc for a while , Rehak posts frequently about these matters and provides links to greater detail. I may not agree with some of his narratives but I endorse his efforts.
