No Bananas!
No Bananas! I went to the Little Kroger today to pick up a few items and of all the things to have run out of, they were out of bananas. Totally wiped out! It was about 4 this afternoon. They were a little busier than usual and had extra lanes open for checkout. It was not half bad at Kroger! So, I decided to go on over the HEB at KWD and WLHP to get bananas, milk, bread, and some other stuff. I thought they would be packed but it was not any busier than usual. Now I've got every possible meal covered for the entire week. I should not have to shop for a while. Oh, I also went to Costco for veggies. I went over where the TP and water are and guess what? They were out of TP and most of the water was gone.

I got a pickup order from Krogers and he commented that I got some of the last bananas. I never expected that they would be a hot commodity but they have a certain simplicity to them.
Annie : I think they are so easy to use. You can have them plane or put peanut butter on a piece of bread or tortilla and wrap the banana in it. It can be a full meal that way. Also, I think bananas keep very well. I would not have expected them to be sold out of them. Glad you got some!

muffy : I didn't look at the TP situation at HEB so, I'm not sure what the situation was there. When I was at HEB they were low on the stuff I looked at but not out. I bet they will have it restocked by morning. Good Luck!!!

TEXASGIRLMAMMA : We were at Kroger on North Park and 59 n Wednesday morning. They were low on bananas then; perhaps it is just Kroger as there were plenty of bananas at Aldi's that afternoon.
