Romerica is seeking approval this week to build two hotels totaling more than 500,000 SF and more than a hundred villas in/around the swamps north of Barrington. But the Planning Commission won't release their drainage study. See what we know so far and how to protest.

I just can not fathom big hotels making it in that area especially in the swamp.
I can't imagine this development being successful. When will these particular developers give up trying to build something on this land? Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Thanks again Bob. Your theory about the high dollar EB-5 visas holds water if the proposed builders are foreign nationals. The current administration has show great favor to wealthy middle eastern countries.

Doesn't appear to be enough land for all that to the north. The plan must include the south also. Much the same as the plan several years ago for the swamp land between Barrington and the boat docks. Life overlooking the golf course.

Butterbean : but it will have a perfect view of sweetie 's helicopter airlifting the sailboats and yachts from the marina over the WLHP bridge.

This past year I have heard saws in the distance, from most likely tree cutting. Not certain if trees are being cut on the property?
Going off topic but: My BIL has a helicopter (like the kind you saw on MASH) and the rotating wing pilot license too. He has submitted request to have a heli-pad at his house in New Boston, MI. Asasolid2r. you need to start with the license........
