I was at red light on Northpark & Loop 495 last night at 6:30pm.
Large SUV stopped in front, I had stopped 2 car lengths behind him. We were waiting for light.
Suddenly, he reverses at full speed, I leaned on my horn, flashing my high beams & CRUNCH!
I put my car in park, put flashers on & got out to survey damage. Hood
had moved a couple of inches, front was scraped up & dented a bit.
Guy never got out or checked on what he did. He did pull up & when light changed to green he took off like a bat out of Hell.
I thought of approaching him, but thought, not worth my life! Did I need this to happen?🥵

jv339 : I'm sorry that happened to you, and glad no one was hurt. Did you happen to get a picture of the license plate? That might help in filing a claim and getting their insurance to fix the damage to your car.

The problem with this is they may say you ran into them. No dash cam. I felt the same way when I was side swiped on the freeway.

jv339 : Sorry that happened to you. People suck; driving in Houston is a joke. It doesn't matter how defensive you are, as people are so preoccupied with their phones they do all kinds of ridiculous things while driving.
