Fifth body found in Buffalo Bayou Wth is going on? Maybe I've watched too many Dateline specials but....does Houston have a serial killer among us? 🤔 Houston Police have recovered a body from Buffalo Bayou near Hirsch & Clinton - the fifth body found in a bayou in just 7 days. 
A kayaker spotted the body Saturday morning (Sept 20) and alerted authorities. The identity remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. This comes days after the tragic discovery of Jade "Sage" McKissic, a 20-year-old UH student who was reported missing on Sept. 11 and later found dead in Brays Bayou. Her cause of death is still under investigation.

StormChaser : Wait a minute.....I just heard yesterday about 1 body. Now it is 5? YIKES!!
StormChaser : I don't know but Hubs was in for the O&G show and he said downtown has really gone down hill in the 2 years we've been gone. One evening he was walking from the convention center to his hotel nearby (Homewood2 Suites). Being the guy he is his head is always on swivel. About 5 blocks in front of him a car pulled up to where a man was standing and the driver and the man started shooting at each other! Thankfully hubs was at the hotel and ducked inside. He wasn't overly impressed with downtown this trip!
I've worked downtown for over a decade. It was never great, but it doesn't seem any worse to me than it was. Homelessness is as bad as ever. It's like any other big city: be alert and don't be an idiot.

I've worked downtown for over a decade. It was never great, but it doesn't seem any worse to me than it was. Homelessness is as bad as ever. It's like any other big city: be alert and don't be an idiot.
LemonEye : It is a downtown area. High density population daytime. Mostly dark and desolate streets after dark except for whatever nightlife strip is in vogue at the moment.
This is just sad. I don't know what the police are trying to keep under wraps all it's doing is making more people victims. I think we actually do have a cereal killer
