I also like shopping at HEB, but sometimes will go to Kroger for a few things. Yes, it does cost around $200 a week now, and I'm getting the same things that I always have.

MissAmericanPie : Did they use the digital coupons? Cause that's where I save more at Kroger. That and fuel points. We've found HEB to be on the more expensive side with less options.

Babieborris : No, no coupons. I use to use fuel points but the Shell gas station here is 30c higher than the other stations so there was no point to that lol.

Channel 2 did a 5 store grocery price comparison between Aldi, WM, Fiesta, Kroger and H-E-B. Buying exactly the same items at each store. HEB was the cheapest and Kroger the most expensive. I knew it lol. I prefer HEB bc they always seem cheaper to me. I did a spreadsheet a few years ago with all of my staples....I was surprised that Walmart and HEB were tied on most items. I thought Kroger was cheap....but it was not. They do have good sales. HEB gets me with the "HEB only" items. They have some cool stuff!
