Mexican/Tex-Mex question Is there any place, around here, that actually SEASONS their ground beef for tacos etc.? I mean Taco Bell seasons their meat more than the local restaurants that I've been to IMHO! TIA

Seasoning picadillo is a personal taste matter.
What is Taco Bell's profile?
I generally don't like picadillo in a taco.

Spork : I'm usually in the valley when I get my fill of fajitas. Sometimes I bring up about 5lb of ready to grill. I have a new recipe that I'm going to try out. I'll let you know if I can replicate it.
Fajitas are imitated in the RGV.
Of Mama Ninfa's staff, not family, real staff, only 1 still cooks, at his home. He was the son of Mama's right hand and from school, straight to the kitchen. HE knows the secret. He left Ninfa's on Navigation a couple of years ago. Took the secret with him.

The beef fajitas from Chachi's Next door are so good and very tender.
EasyPeasy : I do not understand why Next Door is not a HUGE hit in Kingwood.
Maybe it's because of no free chips and salsa.
GREAT seafood.
The tuna tostadas are truly amazing.
So are all the octopi offerings.
zuesamy : El Jimador on KWD is our go to for TexMex.
Kittle : Have they improved on their queso? It was very thick last time I went and didn't taste like the queso I've had in other places.
CelticStorm : You could give Kingwood Taco Shop a try, they are back on Mills Branch. Their tacos are delicious and the meat definitely has a lot of flavor. Our family's favorite Tex-Mex is also El Jimador, but we like to go to the one on Hamblen Road.
