Do you have any an experience to share as to an outcome appealing to the KW municipal court?

Only time I ever got an "unjustified" one was when the rear view mirror had come loose from the windshield and so the blue tag had fallen on the floor. Judge dismissed the ticket. I have seen people try and argue with a police officer while the officer was writing the ticket. It did not go well.

Thank you for your question. My husband of 90 years of age with legitimate handicapped license plates, admittedly parked sloppily in a legitimate handicap parking space at HEB. According to store video, his front left tire was parked on the white line adjacent to the diagonally white lines for van ramp parking. A van was parked there with the ramp down. He didn't feel he hampered the ramp in any way. He went in to pick up a Rx and was out in very little time (as I'd already picked it up for him). When he came out in only a very few minutes, the ticket was on his windshield.

Thank you for the explanation, I agree that does sound unjustified. I'm not sure who you can take it to to fight the ticket, but I hope someone on here can offer some more helpful advice and it can be resolved for you both very quickly.

Well imo if he violated the laws of parking ( in this case being over the line that could impede a van unloading) then yes he deserved the ticket. It doesn't matter if HE thinks he didn't impede what matters is if he actually did.

Once upon a time (yeah, a long time ago) the police in a town where I lived trained citizens, usually older retired folks, how to take pictures of vehicles illegally parked in handicap spaces with their Polaroid cameras, and mail the pics to the court, where somebody mailed the ticket to the registered owner of the vehicle. At certain times (usually around Christmas) the cops would actually check vehicles parked in handicap spaces and verify that the plate or hang tag belonged to somebody in the vehicle, not just the long dead grandma of the driver.

What blows my mind are the monster trucks with a HC tag on the mirror.

villalady : Depending on how wide the ramp lines were for the slot, it may not have impeded the ramp itself but not left room enough for the chair to get in or out. DH is in a chair and makes sure to park by the wide stripes. Many people seem to park over the lines.
