They sure are! I was riding my bicycle this morning and was stopped by a policeman for rolling through a stop sign! He warned me that even bikes have to stop at stop signs, and that yes, he does write tickets for that! I remember my daughter was stopped for the very same reason when she was 8. I guess by 66 I should know better. LOL!!

I was turning off KW Drive and Chestnut Ridge in the turn lane and I noticed a police man get out of his car and approach a vehicle on the passenger side. driver had to show an ID. I guess they blocked that turn lane for awhile.

It might well be that they are more aware of the dangers because of having 3 different bus accidents in the county in 2 days, one of which had 58 kids on board. That bus ended up on its side with all the kids hauled off to the hospital.

I love see HPD out and about!

I just wish police were at the bridge regularly and before that tragic accident last month resulting in 2 deaths.

It could be due to the kids starting school again. It could also be in response to the tragic fatality that happened on that stretch of road about a month or so ago. For those reasons, I'm glad it's being closely monitored.
