Saturday forecast As of 7:30AM we have an area of thunderstorms off to our northeast, but it looks to continue to slide south, which will keep it to our east. But, in just the last 15 minutes, a few isolated showers have popped up (circled) along 59 to our north so we might get some rain this morning from this. 
As for this afternoon, with a dying cold front to our north, and lots of moisture in place, scattering showers & thunderstorms are expected. These thunderstorms will likely start around lunchtime and stick around until sunset or just there after. Heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds are all possible. We are not expecting widespread severe weather but a few thunderstorms could be on the severe side so keep that in mind if you're out and about this afternoon and evening. I'll update as needed. StormChaser : Looks like we're getting our first round of storms now. I'm glad for the rain, but hope it doesn't get too severe.
Of course they started work on our house today. New facia, soffits and prepping for the new roof early next week. Damn! I still hear the saw going so I guess it's ok.

Forecast models for the rest of the afternoon and evening are a bit uncertain if our atmosphere has enough "juice" left to produce any more storms today. Right now, the sun is trying to make an appearance. If that trend continues, we could see a recharge in the atmosphere before sunset which could give us another round of storms. I'll update as needed.

Just got up from a nap and this massive cell just missed us to the east.
StormChaser : We were at breakfast and I was watching the radar. It was skirting past us. Drove through a rough patch but the rain is welcomed. There were a couple purple circles but they fell out.
525pm These storms are dying as they head south. HRRR shows this is it for the evening. Those earlier storms zapped the energy for storms tonight.
