Sorry luannski. I hope the City gives residents an option to opt out of recycling if they do not want to pay an additional recycle fee. Fortunately, City has recycle at Kingwood Park & Ride.
cbear : Well.probably best to stop complaining. They show up eventually it's just recycling cardboard and plastic. Free is best for those who get that city service. Others choose to pay for private trash and recycling, that's great.
That's what I was thinking. We've always paid for it. And there was an extra charge to opt in for recycling?
I've heard this as well. There are mountains of plastic somewhere. I don't recycle any longer. I wish I could find the article.

cbear: I was born & raised in Houston. When I was old enough to know what a Water Bill was, a Garbage Waste fee was always in it. Around $9 every month. I pay $25/month now for garbage pick up.
